Las familias de los muertos piden 67 años después que la Audiencia Nacional obligue a Defensa a sacar el C-3 «para darles una sepultura digna»

MADRID.- Asensio Lidón estaba en la cubierta del submarino arrojando los restos de la comida del día cuando adivinó venir la estela mortal y blanquecina de un torpedo nazi. El impacto abrió un agujero en la proa y la explosión tiró a Asensio al agua con el codo derecho destrozado. El hombre vio flotar a dos compañeros y hundirse a los otros 37 entre los rugidos de 1.000 toneladas de acero republicanas heridas de muerte camino del fondo del mar.
El 12 de diciembre de 1936 Asensio Lidón trajinaba en la superficie a sus 29 años. Hoy, el único tripulante del C-3 que queda con vida guarda en silencio total sus 86 en una residencia de ancianos del norte de Madrid. Quizá comparta la lucha de los familiares de aquellas víctimas, que van a demandar al Ministerio de Defensa ante la Audiencia Nacional por negarse a reflotar el submarino e impedir que puedan dar sepultura digna a sus 37 muertos, atrapados a 68 metros de profundidad en la tripa partida en dos del C-3. …..
